Holiday party attire is probably in my top 10 of favorite things to wear! I love all the glitter, metallics and mixes of dark and bright colors. With that being said I feel like every year I search high and low for that perfect holiday dress. This year had the added challenge of having a big baby bump haha but I ended up finding something that I felt comfortable and stylish in. This dress has pretty ruffle detail without being over the top and comes in 3 other colors (love the red!). I love pairing a simple dress with some fun accessories to dress it up! This dress is super versatile and can be worn and styled even when the holidays are over. I plan on wearing it with over the knee boots and a leather jacket and a jean jacket and wedges in the spring! I love a good metallic or sequin dress and the holidays are the perfect excuse to pull those out, I linked a bunch below! If sparkly dresses are not your thing, you can add a touch of glam with shimmery tights like the pair I am wearing. If you're more of a pants and cute top girl (or are chasing around little ones and need something a little more mobile) these black metallic leggings would be perfect with a festive sweater or top! I linked a bunch of outfit options and accessories below for every style and price point!

Can you believe there are only 3 weeks until Christmas?! Where has this year gone? I was loving the cooler December weather this weekend in NC and had to pull out some of my layers. This beanie is so warm and cute (and on sale right now). I sized up in these jeans (not maternity) and just threw on a belly band with it. They're super stretchy material (almost more like leggings) and very comfortable. If you're pregnant and don't own a belly band, I highly recommend it! It makes everything so much more comfortable and keeps your pants in place ;). We are 7 weeks away from our due date and getting so excited/nervous/anxious all of the above lol. We can't wait to meet this little peanut!

Sales happening today:

  • Banana Republic is offering 40% sitewide with an additional 20% off outerwear.

TGIF! I don't know why but the  week after Thanksgiving always seems to drag. Do you have any fun plans this weekend? Jon and I heading to an engagement party on Saturday night and decorating our house for Christmas. I am so looking forward to it! I have not done a Friday 5 post in a while (hello crazy holiday season/prepping for a baby) and wanted to share my 5 favorites from this week. Hope you enjoy!

1.) This lash t-shirt is so stinkin cute and $11!! I bought my normal size a few weeks ago and it is pretty snug on the growing belly haha. I'd say it's pretty TTS and I've worn it a handful of times and it's held up (side note: I do not put it in the dryer, I'd recommend hang drying...I pretty much dry only my socks and sweats because it helps preserve my clothes, just a thought!).

2.) This 5 ingredient Pizza Spaghetti Squash Pie looks so good and a healthier take on pizza.

3.) My favorite pregnancy related posts lately:

4.) One of my favorite bloggers Lauren Kay Sims shared her favorite devotionals and bible studies and I added them to my Amazon wishlist. I have New Morning Mercies and have been reading Jesus Calling for years and love them both!

Holiday Gift Guide: Gifts That Give Back

Holiday Gift Guide: Giving Back

For today's Holiday Gift Guide I wanted to share gifts from companies that give back. Each of the items above and the companies I share below give either a percentage or a give a product to a cause or person in need. What a great way to celebrate the holidays by not only showering the ones you care about with love but also giving back to someone in need.

1.) This beautiful necklace is from Purpose Jewelry, a company that hires women who were victims of human sex trafficking. They give these women jobs, opportunities to go to college and a fresh start after traumatic situations.

2.) ROMA Boots are not only super cute but support a good cause (love this red pair!). For every pair of boots purchased ROMA donates to a child in need. "ROMA's ultimate goal is not only to provide aid, but to educate. By doing so we will empower them to contribute their gifts & talents to society, eradicate poverty as a condition and a state of mind to make this world a better place."

3.) These makeup pouches are from Bloom & Give a company who donates 50% of their profits to programs that send girls to school in developing countries. The company states that "In developing countries like India, education is the most effective way for a girl to escape the cycle of childhood marriage, pre-teen pregnancy and abuse. A middle-school educated girl will marry 4 years later, have 2 fewer children, and double her income. Educated women make their communities more tolerant and open-minded, and the world needs them now, more than ever!" Amen to that!!

4.) This gorgeous handmade leather tote has been on my wishlist for a while! It is from the lifestyle brand ABLE. The company is "focused on ending generational poverty by working with women who have often overcome extraordinary circumstances. We manufacture directly in the communities we wish to impact, both locally and globally, creating jobs and ending the cycle of charity dependency." Your purchase helps give a woman a job and maintain dignity.

5.) I worked with DIFF Eyewear for Cyber Monday and LOVE them (I have this pair)! Not only are their sunglasses amazing quality but for every pair purchased a pair of reading glasses is donated to someone in need. Oh, and they're offering up to 50% off right now (heck yes!).

6.) This adorable ombre dog leash is from Found My Animal. Not only are Found My Animal's dog leashes and collars super well made in the USA, but they help stray dogs find good homes.

7.) Better World Books collect and sell new and used books online to donate books and fund literacy initiatives worldwide! They've donated over 21 million books so far, how cool is that!? Oh, and they are also super green and ship their books in carbon balanced packaging (bonus!).

8.) This Leather Tassel is the perfect addition to your favorite bag (and a great stocking stuffer!). It is from the company FEED. For every purchase made from FEED  a certain amount of meals are donated to a child in need.

9.) Sevenly is a an awesome marketplace website for nonprofits to promote their causes and businesses. They share new causes each week, each one is unique and supports/donates to something different.  It is a great one stop shop and a way to learn about different charitable companies. This particular Adopt t-shirt donates proceeds to foster care support through Arrows Nest.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you find something you love.

Christine
